HISTORY OF 1951 SIATA 750 Spider 300BC

HISTORY OF 1951 SIATA 750 Sport Spider TIPO 300BC

The Societa Italiana Auto Trasformazioni Accessori, SIATA, founded by Giorgio Ambrosini and later assisted by his son, Renato Ambrosini, created the 1951 SIATA 300BC Barchetta Sport Spider, one of approximately 40 built between 1951 and 1954, of which approximately 25 are known to be in existence. The ravishingly beautiful racing body was designed by Mario Revelli de Beaumont and built by Nuccio Bertone. It is motivated by its original 724 cc Crosley engine, and has original factory supplied Borrani wire wheels and rare louvered hood. SIATA is a name well known in racing and within the Mille Miglia and the Italian Road Racing Championship in 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1955. Chassis N. ST*407*BC was the seventh in the series and has considerable racing heritage in SCCA in H modified class in America and now in Italy.
